Apple to resume sales of its $1,000 Apple Watch at Walmart stores

Walmart announced Wednesday that it will resume sales at its Wal-Mart Supercenter stores of Apple Watch accessories and apparel in the U.S. The retailer also announced that its online stores will begin accepting Apple Watch orders for $1 in the coming weeks.

Walmart is the first U.K.-based retailer to start accepting Apple Pay, and the retailer will begin offering the Apple Watch and iPhone 6s in select stores in the country later this month.

Wal-Mart stores across the U, Canada and Mexico will be open on Jan. 9, and online sales will begin in February.

Apple Watch sales will resume at the end of March, when Apple will begin rolling out the wearable in more stores around the world.
